Position Overview

As a Field HR Specialist at Kiewit, you will play a crucial role in supporting project efforts by managing on-site HR activities. Your responsibilities will include recruiting top talent, coordinating training and development programs, supporting internal communications, maintaining personnel files, and ensuring the HRIS is up-to-date. By ensuring that all hires align with Kiewit's culture and values, you will directly impact field operations and project outcomes.

District Overview

Kiewit's Water Facilities South group is one of Kiewit's leading water/wastewater districts specializing in constructing water treatment facilities, wastewater treatment facilities, and desalination plants. Although we are headquartered in Dallas TX, with regional offices in Miami FL and Atlanta GA, we also pursue various projects stretching across the country. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about infrastructure and committed to the construction industry as opposed to design. Because our people receive continuous and extensive training, hands-on experience, and challenging responsibilities from the day they join our team, they quickly develop the expertise that has earned our district its reputation as the premier contractor in the southeast United States.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate recruiting efforts and collaborate with hiring managers to fill project needs effectively.
  • Support training and development programs for both craft and staff members.
  • Manage internal communications and facilitate the onboarding process for new hires.
  • Maintain employee data in the HRIS and ensure organizational metrics support decision-making.
  • Handle records maintenance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

*As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in driving HR excellence within the district.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Human Resources or a related field with 1-3 years of HR experience.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining college recruiting programs.
  • Highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using HRIS systems and Microsoft Office, as well as strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.
  • Willingness to relocate and travel for exciting projects.
