Position Overview

Kiewit Corporation is looking for a motivated Administrative Assistant to join our Corporate Tax Department. This role involves providing essential support to our managers and accountants, facilitating projects, and collaborating with other administrative staff.

District Overview

Kiewit provides a diverse range of shared service functions to assist our districts in their endeavors to pursue, win and successfully execute projects. Our shared services encompass Business Management, Kiewit Supply Network, Kiewit Technology Group, HR Operations, Safety, Environmental, Equipment, Quality, Legal, Compliance and more. 

Location

This position is located at our Headquarters located at 1550 Mike Fahey Street, Omaha, NE 68102. This is an onsite position we do not offer remote or hybrid work options. 

Responsibilities

  • Deliver administrative support to management and accounting teams, including project assistance and backup for fellow assistants.
  • Utilize advanced computer and technology skills to navigate various software and hardware (e.g., printers, laptops, iPhones, Foxit, SAP, Visio).
  • Organize conference calls and assist in preparing for meetings, including coordinating lunches.
  • Manage outgoing mail, including FedEx packages and correspondence via email and fax.
  • Support office maintenance and organization efforts.
  • Maintain spreadsheets in Microsoft Office and manage customized databases like SAP and SharePoint.
     

Qualifications

  • 1-5 years of experience in an administrative support role within a professional office environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously.

  • Strong self-awareness and initiative; must be proactive in seeking learning opportunities.
  • High motivation with an ability to build relationships quickly to establish credibility as a business partner within Kiewit.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to interact with multiple managers daily and handle diverse projects.
  • Professional communication skills, with the ability to produce well-written correspondence and emails.
  • Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance is required.
