Position Overview

If selected for this Internship, you will be an integral part of the Real Estate team, a team that is focused on all things real estate for the company’s administrative functions and construction operations.  We currently have well over 400 properties in the portfolio.

This position will be based out of Kiewit Headquarters, at 1550 Mike Fahey Street Omaha, NE.

Responsibilities

While on the Real Estate team, you will participate in the following activities: 
•    Work alongside Real Estate Manager(s) to assist with all aspects of managing the real estate agreements 
•    Learn and utilize the Real Estate software.
•    Review the data integrity and completeness of the date in Visual Lease.
•    Create, manage, and maintain various portfolio reports/summaries.  This includes the preparation of regular weekly dashboards or monthly reports on the progress and status of real estate transactions.
•    Prepare analyses of past and current buildout projects, including improvement costs and procurement costs of furniture, fixture, and equipment for real estate projects.
•    Participate in the development of policies and procedures as well as process improvement relating to real estate management.
•    Collect real estate costs, market analysis and property options for field personnel bidding projects. Work with brokers and other third-party groups to compile and distribute data. 
•    Review, interpret and complete financial cost analysis of lease terms from market surveys, proposals and Letters of Intent (LOI).
•    Review, and revise various types of real property agreements including leases, license agreements, estoppel certificates, SNDA’s, letters of intent, lease commencement agreements and other real estate related documents
•    Document drafting experience, including redlining, and comparison features
•    Support the real estate department on special projects and assignments, as necessary

Qualifications

•    Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance, Accounting or related field 
•    Strong time management and organizational skills
•    Excellent written and oral communication skills 
•    Extensive experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)
•    Learn to work in a fast-paced environment 
•    Learn to work in a team environment 
•    Learn to work independently and communicate risks or potential problems to manager
