Position Overview

As a Union Benefits Coordinator, you'll be responsible for remitting all union payments and reconciling corresponding general ledger accounts for the US and Canada.  You will be art of the KBS Payroll Reporting department, which is within the KBS Payroll Services area.

Location

This position is based out of our Kiewit Business Center at Eastport Parkway, Omaha, NE. We offer an optional hybrid work schedule after 90 days.

Responsibilities

•    Prepare union benefit payments accurately while maintaining strict deadlines
•    Research and process trust fund discrepancy correspondence in a timely manner
•    Reconcile union benefit general ledger accounts
•    Maintain union benefit folders and remittance forms
•    Manage assigned cases in Service Now
•    Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external departments; understand Kiewit’s core business and promote a sense of urgency toward business-critical issues
•    Collaborate with co-workers, internal and external Kiewit departments to promote continuous improvement
•    Reliable and consistent attendance
•    Support and participate in collaboration activities to promote and implement continuous process improvement
•    Perform other job-related tasks as needed or assigned
 

Qualifications

•    Working knowledge of computers and experience in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word  
•    Minimum one year of general Accounting or Payroll experience
•    High School diploma or equivalent
•    Highly motivated and self-directed; initiative and a sense of urgency to get things done
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies and thoroughness in completing tasks
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills; clearly convey messages and ideas, gains understanding; generates interest and holds attention, listens and is open to the ideas of others
•    A demonstrated pattern of success in meeting quality objectives
•    Open to change and new information; able to rapidly adapt to changing conditions or unexpected obstacles; demonstrates flexibility in thought and action
•    Establishes priorities, allocates time to maximize benefits; able to manage time and competing priorities while maintaining a work/life balance
•    Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, high volume environment
•    Demonstrates professional behavior and a positive attitude 
•    Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
•    Ability to lift, sit, stoop, bend, reach, climb stairs, etc. 
•    Ability to read from a computer or laptop monitor for several hours including fonts of various sizes from a variety of sources. 
•    SAP experience preferred
•    Union Contract experience preferred
