Position Overview

Kiewit is seeking highly skilled and experienced Commissioning Supervisors with strong backgrounds in hydrocarbon operations. Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in operations within the hydrocarbon industry. As Commissioning Supervisors, you will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning activities of various projects, ensuring that all systems and components are installed, tested, and operational according to project specifications and safety standards. #LI-LW1

Our rapidly growing Industrial & Water Engineering team, which includes process, mechanical, electrical, controls, structural, architectural, geotechnical, and civil disciplines, is a multi-faceted and leading-edge division of Kiewit with best-in-class technical expertise focused in markets such as Food & Beverage, Mineral Processing, Renewable Fuels, Pulp and Paper, Steel & Aluminum, Industrial Buildings, and Industrial Energy, Water and Utilities. 

Location

The successful candidate must be available on a fly-in-fly out basis to our remote sites across the United States (e.g. Dalhart TX, Greeley CO, Liberal KS, etc.). Additionally, the rotation will be up to 3-weeks on and 3-4 days off. 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the commissioning process for hydrocarbon projects, ensuring all activities are completed on time and within budget.
  • Lead and manage teams of commissioning engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
  • Ensure all commissioning activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Provide technical expertise and support during the commissioning phase, troubleshooting issues and ensuring optimal performance of systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of commissioning activities, including test results, reports, and certifications.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of commissioning activities with overall project plans.
  • Train and mentor junior staff on commissioning procedures and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of operations experience in the hydrocarbon industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.
  • Relevant certifications in commissioning or project management are a plus.
  • In-depth understanding of hydrocarbon processing systems and equipment.
