Position Overview
Procurement Agent will be responsible for following Kiewit Supply Network procurement processes to competitively procure, establish, and administer contracts for a wide variety of commodities, professional services, information technology, and supplies. The successful candidate will work in partnership with the project to source materials for assigned commodities, facilitating new projects, and developing contractual terms on selected production materials to optimize quality, reliability, price, delivery, and availability.
District Overview
Kiewit Supply Network group specializes in providing comprehensive procurement services to clients across the construction and engineering industries in multiple markets, including transportation, water/wastewater, power, oil, gas and chemical, building, and mining. We’re looking for a team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives. Someone that is detail-oriented, highly motivated with ability to effectively manage time.
Location
This position is based in our Federal Way, WA office. This is a shared service environment in a professional office setting.
Responsibilities
- Support research, analyses, and cost calculations
- Document tasks and properly retain files
- Assist the procurement of services
- Maintain relationships with new or existing vendors and suppliers
- Assist in requesting and compiling offers from vendors and suppliers
- Support gathering and filing of contracts or other legal and compliance documents
Qualifications
• Ability to travel and relocate as needed
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain management, construction management or related degree preferred
• 0-3 years’ experience in an engineering and/or construction related role preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
• General knowledge of database utilization
• SAP Experience a plus
• Basic knowledge of all areas of procurement, including procurement execution, estimating, expediting, offsite supplier quality and site purchasing preferred
• Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative
• Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time
• Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
• Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
