We are looking for someone with 7 plus years’ experience developing data analytics and dashboards as well as demonstrated experience leading and managing teams. MS in Analytics field highly preferred.

District Overview

Kiewit Data Services’ (KDS) mission is to make Kiewit the premier data-driven organization in our industry. To accomplish this, our projects and districts need to have the right data, of the right quality, with the right level of analysis, available to them at the right time. KDS is a cross functional organization with employees that have expertise in data, technology, support and operations backgrounds. Our core functions are data Quality, Governance, Enablement, Analytics and Data Science. 

Location

This position is based out of our Kiewit Lone Tree Office at 10055 Trainstation Cir, Lone Tree, CO.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver analyses and insights to stakeholders in clear business terms and identify results that drive action.
  • Establish robust content that helps senior management and engineering leaders better understand their data and how it can influence their decision making.
  • Empower Infrastructure engineering partners with improved tools and training to easily draw business relevant insights from our design and project controls data.
  • Lead and develop a team of analysts, consultants, and data scientists.
  • Develop collaborative and cross-functional relationships with other KDS teams to promote partnerships, data sharing, and enterprise initiatives.
  • Act as an internal consultant, point of contact, and trusted advisor for stakeholders both within the infrastructure engineering group and beyond.
  • Assess the analytics needs of the business, prioritize initiatives, and drive clarity in requirements to successfully meet deliverables.
  • Oversee the specification, development, and implementation of new or redesigned processes, reports, and policies and procedures for internal use. Translate requirements into impactful, high ROI projects for the engineering group.
     

Qualifications

  • BS in an Analytics, Math, Statistics or related field required. MS or MBA strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience developing data analytics and dashboards to promote improved decision making across business operations.   
  • Proficient using Python and SQL 
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing teams (4+ people) and the ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed organization with executive exposure.
  • Demonstrated experience creating robust data analytics tools (dashboards, scorecards, KPI’s, etc) to help business stakeholders better understand data required.
  • Strong track record of successfully executing complex projects and/or projects involving multiple disciplines.
  • Experience collaborating with senior managers to understand drivers of success and departmental goals.
  • Ability to manage diverse teams and effectively integrate across groups and work streams where integration is critical to success.  Proven ability to self-direct work efforts and lead others.
  • Strong customer management skills; ability to manage more than one client.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (oral and written) including executive level presentation skills.
  • Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative.  Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time with a commitment to ethics and integrity.
  • Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives.

Base Compensation: 150,000 - 160,000

(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
