Position Overview

A KTG Product Owner is on the front line when it comes to managing our products. They serve as the key link between our business and the internal and external IT professionals that develop, implement, and support our products. With that in mind, the Custom Associate Product Owner is responsible for managing the product(s) backlog to maximize product value. The Product Owner acts as the voice of the customer, representing users, stakeholder and the Product Manager when driving prioritization of the backlog.  

For third-party products, an Associate Product Manager is responsible for user acceptance testing and ensuring we have the right strategy for the product within the Kiewit landscape. They are a primary source of communication and training for their products to help ensure user success. They are also the main communication channel back to the third-party responsible for communicating the needs and requests of Kiewit.

Location

This position will be in our Omaha, NE office.  The work schedule is onsite Monday-Thursday with optional Flexible Fridays. 

Responsibilities

•    Define and execute the product(s) vision, strategy, and roadmap based on market research, customer feedback, and business goals
•    Conduct competitive analysis to identify market trends and opportunities, and make data-driven decisions to prioritize features and enhancements
•    Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements to develop and prioritize a backlog, create user stories, bugs, and defects that define the products specifications 
•    Coordinate with business SMEs to test and evaluate the new or updated applications and features. 
•    Work closely with design and engineering teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of high-quality products
•    Conduct user research, usability testing, and feedback analysis to continuously improve the user experience
•    Monitor product performance and analyze key metrics to identify areas for improvement and inform future product iterations
•    Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle, displaying first rate customer services ability 

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
•    Proven experience as a Product Owner/Business Analyst (1-3 years)
•    Strong understanding of product management methodologies and practices, including Agile and Scrum
•    Demonstrated ability to develop and execute product roadmaps that align with business objectives
•    Ability to analyze and document complex business processes
•    Demonstrate ability to negotiate and have critical conversations with customers and stakeholders regarding business value and customer experience 
•    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear product requirements
•    Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
•    Strong leadership and influencing skills to drive product initiatives forward
•    Experience with user research and UX/UI design principles
•    Familiarity with project management tools and product analytics platforms (Azure Dev Ops, SQL, etc.)
•    Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.

BONUS: 
•    Technology product certification(s) and/or related training certifications (CSPO – Certified Scrum Product Owner, etc.)
•    Ability to build team morale by setting achievable goals and communicate stakeholder feedback
•    Experience within data analytics 
•    Experience within the construction and/or engineering markets 
•    Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product management
