Kiewit is looking for a Quality Inspector, with experience in civil work. The ideal candidate has experience with projects regarding the construction of roadways. This will be seasonal work due to weather conditions.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform nuclear compaction testing, granular and soils sieve sampling and analysis
  • Conduct roadwork construction inspections
  • Provide updates to internal staff and client regarding the quality of work
  • Communicate test results to project team with correct documentation
  • Coordinate with operations to schedule quality inspections and tests to maintain production goals
  • Send out sample soils to a 3rd party lab at the required frequency
  • Verify compliance with the applicable contract documents, codes and standards
  • Performs field inspections in accordance with standard procedures
  • Identifies and reports non-conforming work in accordance with the project quality plan and corporate quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of quality inspection for Civil/Roadway work
  • Experience with documentation, codes and standards.
  • Action oriented, results driven, and self-motivated
  • Problem solver who demonstrates agility in ambiguous circumstances and develop solutions
  • Comfortable working in all weather conditions as well as in the Lab
