Position Overview

Kiewit's Eastern district is currently looking for an administrative assistant to support our current projects. The ideal candidate has previous administrative support experience in the construction industry. This position will be located in our district office in Woodcliff Lake New Jersey

District Overview

Kiewit’s Eastern District specializes in challenging heavy civil construction projects throughout the Northeast, including the metropolitan areas of New York, Chicago, Boston, and Washington DC.  We are leaders in bridge, transit, foundation, tunnel, and water/wastewater construction while specializing in cast-in-place concrete, structural steel erection, earthwork, pile driving, and caissons. Kiewit’s Eastern District also has a large amount of work in the energy/power sector in various northeast locations. With our experienced and dedicated employees, extensive resources and in-depth market knowledge, the Eastern District can handle projects of any size.  


Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey


•    Organize and maintain all documents and specs pertaining to project design including drawings and RFI’s and DCN's 
•    Perform audits of documents to ensure project files are current 
•    Duplicate, bind, and distribute documents as required
•    Transmit, receive, record and distribute e-mail correspondence and documentation according to established procedures
•    Maintain records of incoming document transmittals and prepare outgoing transmittals and packages
•    Assist with registration, filing and control of incoming and outgoing documentation
•    Perform database input and word-processing functions
•    Ensure that the confidentiality of sensitive information is protected
•    Perform other clerical duties as assigned by the Document Control Manager
•    Managing and scheduling inter-group and cross-company meetings involving department staff


•    Post-secondary education in Records Administration/Management, Library and Information Technology  or related experience 
•    Knowledge of records/information management principles and their methodologies an asset 
•    Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word 
•    Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic environment
•    Strong communication skills to effectively work within a project team with minimal supervision
