Position Overview

As a Transportation Compliance Manager, you will be the Subject Matter Owner for Transportation Compliance, including:
 •    All aspects of development, implementation, standardization, and management of the Company’s Transportation Compliance Programs, including CMV Files, DOT Driver Qualification Files and Drug/Alcohol Programs, Vehicle Inspections, Hours of Service, Driver training, etc.
•    Coordination of processes and program management with other stakeholders and groups, including Driver Background Checks, Pre-Employment Medical Screening & DOT Physicals, Previous Employer Release of Information, etc.

Location

This position will either be in Fort Worth, Texas or The Woodlands, Texas. This is a shared service center in a professional office setting.

Responsibilities

Lead transportation compliance team with the following responsibilities:
•    Work with Project Operations and staff to implement and manage detailed, proactive systems to ensure compliance with Federal and State DOT regulations and Company requirements. 
•    Conduct internal compliance audits and risk assessments to ensure effective and consistent implementation of regulatory and internal requirements at all company locations.
•    Review pending and upcoming changes to Federal & State DOT regulations to ensure the Company is prepared for future compliance requirements.
•    Work with Project Operations and staff to prepare for and represent the Company during DOT audits.
•    Work with Project Operations and staff to support incident investigations, root-cause analysis, follow-up, and closure of action items, and leverage learning across organization for all vehicle accidents involving CMV’s.
•     Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

•    Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Federal and State DOT, Health & Safety Regulations, including a working knowledge of the DOT Letters of Interpretation and other Regulatory Guidance. 
•    Strong leadership and organization, with the ability to direct and achieve priorities, goals, and strategies with limited supervision.
•    Effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to read, analyze and interpret regulations and other documents.
•    Proficient knowledge of computers and typical production software (e.g., MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
