Position Overview
As a member of the Compliance team, you play a critical role in ensuring that our contractors meet Kiewit’s compliance requirements. This includes overseeing contract execution, insurance, securities such as bonding and letters of credit, and other risk mitigation measures. Additionally, the team is responsible for managing and controlling all related documentation, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with owner requirements before issuing payments.

Kiewit's Water Facilities South group is one of Kiewit's leading water/wastewater districts specializing in constructing water treatment facilities, wastewater treatment facilities, and desalination plants. Although we are headquartered in Dallas TX, with regional offices in Miami FL and Atlanta GA, we also pursue various projects stretching across the country. Responsibilities
- Assist in organizing and managing team activities to ensure successful fulfillment of department goals.
- Support the assignment of work to team members in a fair and responsible manner that meets or exceeds project requirements, leverages individual talents, and supports professional development goals.
- Schedule, coordinate, and participate in meetings (intra- and inter-discipline) as needed to resolve issues.
- Monitor and track in-house engineering, external partner/contractor, and vendor documents and deliverables throughout the life of the pursuit/project.
- Assess the knowledge, technical understanding, and capability of clients, external partners/contractors, and vendors, and provide necessary training and assistance.
- Ensure compliance with company performance management processes and employee development programs. Mentor and train less experienced personnel in document control concepts, tools, procedures, and practices.
- Follow departmental Best Practices and ensure that procedures and work instructions are adhered to.
- Identify, evaluate, and help mitigate risks to the company’s results or reputation.
- Collaborate with Quality Control to support continuous improvement efforts for Compliance.
- Archive and preserve documents as required by code, statute, or regulations, including provisions for “wet signature” and/or physically stamped/sealed documents.
- Help establish and maintain performance metrics for quality, response time, and productivity.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in compliance in the construction industry sector
- Familiarity with document control tools and software such as SharePoint and Bluebeam Revu
- Records Retention / Information Lifecycle system experience
- Ability to use appropriate tools and methods to collect and analyze data to identify and resolve business and/or technical problems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proven track record of creating, establishing, and utilizing business processes, quality standards, performance metrics, and work instructions
- Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative
- Strong work ethic, willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done right the first time
