Position Overview: As an integral part of the 1Craft Recruiting team, the Craft Recruiting Manager is responsible for proactively supporting the craft staffing needs by acting as the liaison with the centralized recruiting team and the projects/hiring manager’s. This person will manage and balance requisition needs, utilizing recruiting sources/techniques while building relationships with the field to meet and exceed hiring needs.  While this role is heavily focused on the recruiting, sourcing and screening strategies to ensure district needs are met; the role also provides support in retention, quality of hire and wage comparisons to create a “best in class” craft work environment. Kiewit is expanding our team due to a tremendous increase in volume.

Location: The Woodlands, TX

Responsibilities:
• Lead a team of Recruiters, Sourcing Specialist’s, and Screeners with requisition loads of 20-25+ job openings at a time, while presenting the best talent to hiring managers in a high volume, fast-paced environment
• Lead the team in building networks to manage and maintain a pipeline of craft talent with a focus on the “hard to fill” roles.
• Partner with the Regional Craft Recruiters to develop aggressive sourcing methods to find the best talent by leveraging multiple channels, including but not limited to: networking, direct sourcing, internet recruiting, advertising, job and industry fairs, technical and trade school recruiting, military, employee referrals, and competitor contacts.
• Develop talent strategies to strategically identify, attract, and recruit talent through a variety of avenues, including the use of emerging technology and industry best practices.
• Develop solutions to ensure delivery over and above expectations.
• Partner directly and effectively with HR team members and with the business to drive appropriate HR recruiting initiatives for the company in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain a proactive approach to retention strategies of all employees but primarily focused on craft employees.

Qualifications:
• 6+ years of experience recruiting craft professionals (Welders, Electricians, Crane Operators, Pipe Welders, etc.) in the construction industry.
• At least two years of managing and supervising employees
• Knowledge of the Construction Industry and familiarity with associated trade organizations, educational facilities/programs that would provide potential candidate sources.
• Strong leadership skills, strategic understanding of project planning and execution skills, experience with change management, collaborative personality, and strong communication skills.
• Must be able to manage multiple projects and prioritize work with changing objectives and deadlines while meeting stated metrics. 
• Must work well with a diverse work force and communicate with all levels of employees.
• Ability to source/recruit, screen, interview, and hire top talent into our business
• Ability to create, measure, and scale the right workflow between candidates, hiring managers and the recruiting team.
• Ability to manage emotions in positive ways to communicate effectively, empathize with others, overcome challenges, and defuse conflicts
• Outstanding customer service and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated energy, enthusiasm and initiative
• Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Requires excellent communication skills; advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 
• Requires experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems (SAP preferred),  experience working with social recruiting tools, building or re-building career website, and the use of internet/traditional methods.
• Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with a wide variety of people. Knowledge of basic computer programs (Word, Excel), including HRIS database system functionality is required.
• Human Resources knowledge such as EEO, FLSA, diversity recruiting, interviewing best practices

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
