Position Overview

The Finance Analyst Intern will support he research, development, accounting, and finance functions for large-scale infrastructure projects. 

 

Interns will become skilled at executing processes and utilizing various tools related to developing and keeping large infrastructure projects on rack through vairous phases of a project. Interns will be an integral part of the month end close out process, and assist with preparing a financial reporting package for project management.

 

As part of the team, you will be involved with projects that span across the United States, which may require a willingness to travel to support the project needs. Job assignment location will be determined closer to your start date. Must be able to relocate anywhere in the country for this internship.

Location

While this position will be based in one of our U.S. offices, travel to support project needs may be required. Responsibilities

•    Recognizes the importance of being a team player by adapting to project needs and helping in other areas as needed
•    Fosters relationships with the team and shows a willingness to learn about the work
•    Work closely with the team to understand and contribute to the development and management of infrastructure projects
•    Assist in preparing project briefs, internal and external presentations and responses to RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs
•    Review project contract documentation and project finance related structures
•    Conduct research on current and upcoming infrastructure projects, analyzing market trends and competitor activity
•    Assist in preparing market sector analysis reports and identifying trends within the construction and infrastructure industry
•    Reviews cost structures, budgets, and forecast reports, assisting with adjustments for proper recognition of revenue and cost allocation
•    Maintains a positive attitude and always willing to offer a helping hand to other team members
•    Maintains highly organized work environment, understands importance of time management, and communicates in a clear, concise and effective manner
•    Follows the Corporate Compliance Program

Qualifications

•    Actively enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, and/or equivalent degree
•    Minimum GPA of 3.0 or above
•    Ability to relocate for this internship
•    Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
•    Experience working with Pivot Tables, V-Look Ups, and other key excel functions is preferred
•    Effective communication (both oral and written), organization and interpersonal skills.
•    Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies
•    Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and passionate for continuous improvement
•    Must be able to freely access all parts of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments
•    Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
•    Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship, both now and in the future
•    Must have a valid Driver’s License
•    Reliable transportation to and from work
•    Previous internship experience is preferred

•    Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
•    Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
•    May work at various different locations and conditions may vary

Base Compensation: $18.50/hr - $20.50/hr
