Position Overview
Kiewit’s Business Transformation team is looking for a Product Manager to lead the development and set the vision for our growing platform of process-driven automated solutions. The Product Manager is responsible for identifying significant opportunities and driving product vision and roadmaps in the context of broader organizational strategies and goals.
We are seeking a seasoned product manager with a strong grasp on business process workflows and building advanced data analytics. This candidate will work closely with key stakeholders across the organization and our team of cross-functional engineers to combine the voice and needs of the users to create high-level roadmaps, detailed business requirements and delivery plans of features.
Additionally, this position would be responsible for the oversight of the Product team, as well as driving the core team processes that empower our analysts, engineers, and scientists. This candidate builds fantastic relationships across all levels of the organization and is recognized as a problem solver that looks to elevate the work of everyone around them.
District Overview
Kiewit Business Transformation team is a cross functional organization with team members having expertise in business process, data, technology, and operations. Our mission is to make Kiewit the premier data-driven organization in our industry. To accomplish this, our projects and districts need to have the right data, of the right quality, with the right level of analysis, available to them at the right time.
Location
This position is remote within the US (United States). Travel may be required upon request.
Responsibilities
• Primary driver for product vision and roadmaps. Understand our strategic and competitive position and deliver product features that are aligned with our mission
• Build alignment across internal teams (engineering, UX, etc.), external stakeholders, and leadership/executive team
• Plan, initiate and manage product features for a workflow-driven web-based platform
• Develop the product roadmap and build consensus on prioritization which drives product execution
• Develop detailed product specifications with business requirements, user scenarios, acceptance criteria, and success measures
• Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of product features. Identify and track key performance metrics
Qualifications
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Product Management or related industry experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Applied Sciences, or a related field
• Experience working in a technical environment with a broad, cross functional team to drive product vision, define product requirements, coordinate resources from other groups and guide the team through key milestones
• Passion to understand customer needs and a strong motivation to solve their problems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to present information both to technical and non-technical individuals
• Experience with various project management methodologies (e.g., Agile)
• Familiarity with work management tools, such as Monday, Confluence, JIRA, etc., a plus
• Familiarity with techniques such as user story mapping, UI/UX prototyping, etc., a plus
