Position Overview

As a System Superintendent you will proactively ensure the safe timely execution of the works sub-contracted by KEV for System Operation.

 

System operation involves installation of all works for traction power (substation, inverter, OCS all installed by a sub-contractor), signalization (CBTC by THALES as designated sub-contractor) and all COM installation (SCADA, Data Networks, CCTV, PA, intrusion detection etc.). #LI-HM1

District Overview

Eastern Canada District's projects include highways, bridges, mass transit, mine site development & open pit operations, hydroelectric powerhouses, wind-power plants, dams & industrial. The serve the construction and mining industries and operates in Eastern Canada. 

Location

This role is for the Confederation Line in Ottawa under the KEV Joint Venture (Kiewit-Eurovia-Vinci).

Responsibilities

Responsible for the effective deployment of KEV Safety Policy and Safety Procedures on site.

 

Responsible for the coordination with other trades of KEV activities (e.g. track installation, station constructions including civil, architectural and all MEP activities).

 

Responsible to create an environment for KEV System Sub-Contractors works permitting timely execution of the works, avoiding potential claims, and ensuring KEV Quality Policies deployment.

 

Responsible to verify that System Sub-Contractors correctly liaise with the KEV System Assurance Plans (safety, requirements, care & preservation, RAMS etc.) handled by the System Engineering Manager.

 

You will assist the System Director interfacing with Stakeholders such as:

 

  • Customer
  • All KEV Sub-contractors
  • All KEV Department
  • Authorities Having Jurisdiction
  • Stakeholders

 

The position requires Technical Competencies, Leadership, good communication & presentation skills (in English) and ability to work in multi-disciplined and culturally diverse background environments.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 to 15 years experience in construction activities in an environment of multi trades interactions and concurrent works preferably on railway projects.
  • Experience in managing sub-contractors.

•    May work at various different locations and conditions may vary
