Position Overview
As a Scheduling Manager, you’ll play a key role in the development and implementation of company standards and scheduling techniques. This hands-on role will give you the opportunity to lead scheduling teams and mentor young talent, directly impacting the scheduling capabilities over a broad range of projects in various stages of development.
District Overview
Kiewit's Southeast District is one of Kiewit's leading infrastructure districts specializing in heavy civil, transportation, and water resource markets. Projects you could be working on could include building bridges, airports, mass transit systems, canals, dams, pump stations or tunnels. Although most of our work is regionally based in the southeast region of the United States, we also pursue various projects stretching across the east coast. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about infrastructure and committed to the construction industry as opposed to design.

Responsibilities
• Responsible for developing plans to achieve project milestones and managed a project or department on project ($100M – $200M).
• Demonstrates knowledge and focus on project performance and including cost, schedule adherence, safety, and customer satisfaction.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, construction managers, and project schedulers to lead detailed planning and scheduling of projects from conceptual planning through engineering and construction.
• Demonstrated leadership and coordination with other members of the project team.
• Candidates must be able to operate independently and as a team leader with little to no supervision. Must be able to meet deadlines and provide appropriate level of guidance for others to meet deadlines as well.
• Provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance to schedulers and job teams for the resolution of difficult project control problems. May interface with clients, attend regular meetings and give statistical reports.
• Analyze available manpower and resources, commodity charts, trends, schedule variations, schedule performance and schedule forecast.
• Lead forensic schedule analysis to assess the impact(s) of changes from design, equipment delivery, and performance. Report to company management and clients.
• Apply vast knowledge of engineering, procurement, and construction terminology and concepts to develop and maintain critic path logic networks; accumulate and access historical data for use in maintaining realistic future planning and forecasting.
• Candidates must possess a strong work ethic and have excellent interpersonal, organization, and communication skills
Qualifications
• A minimum of 11 years of construction scheduling experience (power and industrial preferred) with at least three years of proven leadership experience directing scheduling functions.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or another equivalent is required.
• Advanced knowledge of construction and engineering technology, codes, standards, etc., plus an in-depth understanding of the interdependence and relationship between other functional units.
• Proficiency in planning and scheduling using Primavera P6
• Working knowledge of standard cost control methods utilized in the execution of various types of project (EPC, Joint Venture, Lump Sum, time and Material, Maintenance)
• Proficiency in various project controls software such as Primavera, Microsoft Project, Smart Sheet, Excel and other company-specific software
