Position Overview: 
We are seeking a self-motivated Tax Accountant to join our Corporate Tax team, who is self-aware and who takes initiative.  As a Tax Accountant at Kiewit, you must be assertive to take on learning activities and grasp developmental opportunities. You must also have the ability to build relationships quickly and naturally, as these relationships will bring you the credibility needed to operate as a successful business partner within Kiewit. Whether you have a year or two of Tax experience, or you've only studied it in school, this is a great opportunity to work in the Private sector, with very little travel, and more work/life balance than Public Accounting. - Preparation of income tax returns (U.S. federal, state, and international)
- Computation of estimated tax payments 
- Preparation of book to tax adjustment work papers
- Research and analysis of tax issues
- Monitor tax legislation 
- Assist with income tax audits 
- Completion of other projects as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or will have one in December 2018)
- 0-2 years of accounting experience
- Tax experience preferred with income tax experience strongly preferred
- Financial accounting experience strongly preferred
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written 
- Proven technical abilities 
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, income tax compliance, and research software) 
- Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented 
- Willing and able to put in the time required to meet deadlines 
- Able to work independently, and as part of a team 
- Some travel may be required
