Position Overview

The Senior Data Analyst (Estimating) serves as a key product and project leader within Kiewit Data Services, responsible for managing the development and delivery of high-impact data products that support the Estimating domain. This role combines deep analytical expertise with strong business acumen and project management capabilities to ensure that data-driven solutions align with organizational priorities, deliver measurable value, and drive adoption across operational teams.

The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience in stakeholder management, data product ownership, and the ability to translate business objectives into actionable plans that deliver sustainable results.

Responsibilities

• Product Ownership and Delivery
• Serve as the product owner for Estimating data products, leading the end-to-end lifecycle from concept to adoption.
• Maintain a comprehensive roadmap of current and future estimating initiatives aligned to core business objectives.
• Oversee product development efforts by coordinating priorities, managing timelines, and ensuring delivery of high-quality outputs.
• Partner closely with technical teams (data architecture, engineering, and product development) to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.
• Ensure that all data products meet defined success metrics and demonstrate measurable business impact.
• Project Management
• Lead cross-functional project teams to deliver data initiatives on schedule and within scope.
• Manage stakeholder communications, facilitate decision-making, and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
• Track progress against milestones, proactively address risks, and escalate issues as needed to maintain momentum.
• Advocate for necessary resources to achieve project goals and ensure sustainable delivery.
• Plan for post-launch hypercare, adoption, and continuous improvement phases.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
• Conduct effective meetings with estimating leaders and stakeholders to define needs, prioritize initiatives, and share progress updates.
• Collaborate with business partners across markets (Power, Industrial, Infrastructure, etc.) to align data strategy with operational objectives.
• Create and lead a steering committee to guide project prioritization, progress reporting, and value realization.
• Act as the liaison between KDS and operational teams, ensuring data solutions effectively support business workflows.
• Adoption and Continuous Improvement
• Develop and execute adoption plans that include communication, training, and support strategies to maximize user engagement.
• Monitor business impact and product performance post-launch to ensure continued alignment with objectives.
• Establish feedback mechanisms to capture user input, manage enhancements, and prioritize version updates.
• Drive measurable improvements in data quality, reliability, and accessibility across the Estimating domain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data analysis, project management, or product ownership within a technical or operational environment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex initiatives and deliver results under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with executives, technical teams, and field operations.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Sigma, etc.) and data platforms (Snowflake preferred).
• Solid understanding of data product development lifecycles and agile delivery practices.
• Experience in the construction, engineering, or industrial sectors preferred.

• Ability to travel up to 10% for stakeholder meetings, training, or project-related activities.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external partners at all organizational levels.
