Position Overview:
Hardware Depot Technician primary role is to assist and learn from the primary Depot Technician. Hardware Depot Technician should assist with imaging, re-imaging, installing, prepping, and testing of hardware devices. Hardware Depot Technician are under the supervision of a Hardware Depot Lead Associate.  

Hardware Depot Technician share responsibility for responding to tickets in a timely manner, researching, and resolving hardware and technical support issues. Technical support issues may include: setting up BIOS, VPN, and email, unlocking accounts, installing software, backing up user data, and executing scripted troubleshooting processes. Hardware support issues may include: replacing batteries, keyboards, screens, hard drives, and RAM. Hardware Depot Technician are to document all tickets in a timely and accurate manner, and prioritize tickets based on their level of urgency.

Responsibilities:
• Assist the primary Field Technician by documenting and updating all assigned tickets as required.
• Provide escalated technical support to Kiewit employees
• Respond to all assigned tickets in a timely manner
• Research and assist to resolve hardware or software issues
• Immediately notify appropriate individuals of any issues that could potentially impact production activities and follow escalation to keep impact minimal
• Document all tickets in a timely and accurate manner ensuring adherence to department policies and procedures
• Establish and maintain a professional relationship with customers, team members and department contacts
• Cooperate with team members to provide the best customer experience possible
• Provide quality work that exceeds customer expectations 
• Escalate to Lead Associate any situation outside the employee's control that could adversely impact the services being provided
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
• Currently pursuing a degree in IT or related field
• Excellent customer service and communication skills 
• Ability to work under pressure and at a fast pace
• Detail-oriented, highly organized
• Prior technical support experience
• Able to work an 8 hour day shift
• Able to lift up to 40lbs on a regular basis

Preferred: 
• Associates degree in computer science, MIS or a related field
• Customer service experience
• Experience installing and troubleshooting computer software and hardware
• Ability to troubleshoot personal computer and peripherals
• Technical knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of trouble ticketing systems
• IT related certification
• PowerShell experience is a plus
