Position Overview

As a Service Delivery Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring operational continuity and delivering high-quality support across Kiewit’s enterprise functions, including IT, Human Resources, and Business Operations. This front-line position provides direct support through inbound calls, service tickets, and live chat, resolving a range of inquiries from technical troubleshooting to HR/payroll issues, financial system access, and data management tasks.

This role demands strong business acumen, customer-first thinking, and a proactive approach to supporting the operational efficiency of a $12.5B organization. With exposure to various departments and systems, it provides a foundational path for individuals looking to grow their careers in business operations, human capital management, or enterprise support services.

Location

This position is based at our new office located at 12312 Port Grace Boulevard, La Vista, NE. Standard work hours are Monday–Friday, 10:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. (onsite).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a first point of contact for Kiewit employees and stakeholders seeking support with HR systems, payroll inquiries, IT issues, enterprise applications, and business process navigation
  • Resolve incoming requests via phone, chat, and ticketing system, aiming for first-contact resolution wherever possible, cutting across silos in a multifunctional shared service environment
  • Escalate complex cases efficiently to subject matter experts or functional leads, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with field personnel and corporate teams to foster trust and support business continuity
  • Leverage internal tools and platforms (ServiceNow, SuccessFactors, SAP, Active Directory, O365, etc.) to address and resolve customer needs accurately and efficiently
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Kiewit’s operational model and core business units to prioritize support for business-critical and time-sensitive issues
  • Maintain high standards of compliance with internal controls, documenting and escalating process exceptions or risks to leadership
  • Exhibit reliable, consistent attendance and professional responsiveness in a high-volume, high-accountability environment

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 0 - 2 years experience in a helpdesk environment, or equivalent experience supporting customers or corporate end-users 
  • Working knowledge of computers and experience in the use of the Microsoft suite 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; clearly conveys messages and ideas, gains understanding; generates interest and holds attention, listens and is open to the ideas of others 
  • Highly motivated and self-directed; initiative and a sense of urgency to get things done 
  • Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy with minimal supervision in a fast paced, high volume environment 
  • Ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish assigned work 
  • Excellent customer service and collaboration skills; ability to connect and build relationships with others inside and outside the organization
