Position Overview

As a Sr Data Privacy Program Manager you  will be responsible for focusing on the Data Privacy program and ensuring operational support activities across Kiewit are provided to our businesses.  The role is also responsible for assisting in the monitoring of data privacy compliance and assisting with identifying risk mitigation plans, in accordance with levels of risk.  This role will entail working closely with a wide number of internal teams (legal, compliance, technology group, human resources) and all other relevant stakeholders to build an understanding of global data protection issues and to ensure we are compliant with applicable regulations, primarily CCPA.

This position will be based out of our Kiewit Business Center at 12720 I Street. This is a shared service center in a professional office setting and will require this individual to work in the office versus working remotely. 


  • Perform assigned privacy incident investigations under the direction of the Privacy Manager
  • Assist with creating and presenting risks, mitigations and operational KPIs
  • Ensure appropriate processes and systems are being used to be able to respond to individuals when they exercise their rights (e.g., subject access request, object to processing, right to be forgotten, etc.) within the departments and Districts
  • Be a point of contact for any DP queries, from external or internal customers/employees, around data whether this be with DSARs, privacy reviews, DPIA’s, and recording of processing activities for Kiewit
  • Assist with overseeing any DSAR received within the divisions and ensure compliance with requirements and timings
  • Monitor the implementation and application of internal data protection policies and processes
  • Monitor staff compliance with, and participate in leading, privacy trainings
  • Research and stay abreast of relevant privacy-related regulatory changes and/or issues and communicate/educate the Privacy Official, Privacy Manager, Privacy Committee, and other staff as directed
  • Work across functions collaboratively on privacy matters
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with key stakeholders, reporting on progress


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level of experience
  • CIPP-US or similar qualification
  • 3+ years data protection and privacy experience
  • Knowledge of privacy principles and data protection framework
  • Ability to handle information and business affairs with secrecy and confidentially as appropriate
  • Demonstrated program management experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with SME’s, management, and decision-makers within the organization
  • Familiarity with privacy and security risk assessment and best practices, privacy certifications/seals, and information security standards certifications
  • Ability to acknowledge knowledge gaps and seek to fill them from reliable sources
  • Knowledge of the business sector and of the employer’s organization
