Reporting Support Analyst - Kiewit Technology Group

Position Overview

As the Reporting Support Analyst you will be responsible for the daily production support and maintenance of Kiewit’s expansive portfolio of reports. You will resolve incidents and complete service requests within the established service level expectations and provide best practice recommendations.

Location

This position is based out of our Kiewit Business Center at 12720 I Street. This is a shared service center in a professional office setting. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide front-line primary technical support to end users on various issues/problems
  • Actively engage in JAMS report job monitoring and alerting
  • Make timely decisions with well-developed judgment, while considering alternatives, risks, and other critical decision factors
  • Check, validate and update ticket documentation
  • Quickly and accurately prioritize incidents and follow internal incident management protocol
  • Troubleshoot and resolve tickets within defined service level expectations
  • Work with the Enterprise Reporting Team to transition new reports and solutions into the Support Team for steady state support.
  • Work closely with developers on issue resolution if initial troubleshooting identifies a need for developer engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with a variety of Kiewit Technology Group teams to ensure communications and processes are completed with seamless service delivery
  • Pro-actively seek opportunities for continuous improvement within the team and department and act upon findings to initiate improvements, presenting ideas in a persuasive way to gain support 
  • Provide quality customer service to all customers
  • Maintain professional knowledge and skills through proactive self-study of relevant technologies and processes
  • Provide training and coaching to other team members
  • Create and update support documentation
  • Will need to work on SSRS \ Power bi \ SQL Server development
  • Work On-Call as needed

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of relavent experience
  • Highly motivated, self-starting and self-directed
  • Good understanding of SQL. 2-3 years SQL experience preferred.
  • Ability to interpret and write complex SQL queries and custom reports
  • Experience working with DBA’s to performance tune queries
  • Strong understanding of incident and problem management
  • Strong interpersonal skills to resolve problems in a professional manner, lead working group, negotiate and create consensus
  • Ability to manage a variety of technically challenging tasks effectively
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to solve unique problems with creative solutions
  • Must be able to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish work efficiently
  • Demonstrated initiative with commitment and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while still maintaining high-quality standards
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to present information both to technical and non-technical customers/stakeholders, in appropriate media and form
  • Experience using standard Business Intelligence reporting tools, primarily SSRS\SSIS\SSAS preferred 
  • Experience in Power Bi \ Power Apps preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or applicable experience in a technology-related field preferred
  • Experience in JAMS or similar scheduling tools preferred
  • Teradata experience preferred

Base Compensation: $62,000  - $93,000 
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
