Position Overview

If selected for this Internship, you will be an integral part of the Enterprise Data Enablement team, a team that is focused on highlighting the relationships and decisions that can be made from the data we collect each day at Kiewit. 

As a Reporting Intern your primary role is to assist and learn from the team. You will assist in developing development and testing for Reporting and Analytic functions.

This position is based out of 12720 I Street, Omaha Nebraska 68137.

Responsibilities

As a Reporting intern, you will participate in the following activities:  

  • Gather business information from product team, design, code, validate, and maintain the semantic layer for complex reports
  • Work with Microsoft & Teradata technologies
  • Work with Azure technologies like Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory
  • Write SQL scripts or ETL packages needed to develop the semantic database objects
  • Write integration scripts/packages using Data Integration tools
  • Test integration scripts and packages and document those
  • Test scripts and packages and document those
  • Play an integral part of an agile delivery team comprising of product owners, project managers/scrum masters and other reporting team members
  • Partner with Reporting Support team
  • Opportunities to document process and to do presentations
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in computer science, Business Intelligence, statistics, management information systems, business analysis, or related field  
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills  
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills  
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment  
  • Ability to work in a team environment  
  • Ability to work independently and communicate risks or potential problems to manager
