Position Overview

We are adding a Real Estate specialist to support our Real Estate Team by handling financial and leasing functions for our properties.  You will report to a Real Estate Analyst in this role and will be interfacing with various departments within Kiewit, as well as landlords, tenants and other vendors.  This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door of a Fortune 500 company, and build your career in Corporate Real Estate, with a great team supporting you with great coaching and training.

Location

The position is based in the office at our Headquarters, located in Omaha Nebraska.  This is a corporate office in a professional office setting.   This is not a remote position and we do not offer relocation for this position.  

Responsibilities

  • Support basic bookkeeping functions for our real estate properties including:  paying vendors and invoices, track receivables and capital payments.  
  • Administer and process property tax payments and assessments on our owned properties.
  • Recover security deposits upon termination of leases.  
  • Work alongside Real Estate Manager(s) to assist with our residential leases.
  • Maintain property, vendor and departmental files with proper documentation and organization.
  • Assist with the administration of various real estate databases and communication tools.
  • Assist with creating efficient department processes and procedures. 
  • Work alongside Real Estate Managers to assist with various transactions and reporting.  

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3+ years performing similar administrative, bookkeeping and financial functions as outlined above
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel (Pivot tables, VLookup, formulas).  Experience with SAP or similar system is preferred.  Experience with Visual Lease preferred (or similar software)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate on Kiewit’s behalf
  • Must be detail oriented, have strong organization skills and be a a strong problem solver 
  • Ability to work with little supervision and to seek help when needed 
  • Ability to work collaboratively and to build strong Internal and external relationships 
  • Experience in property or asset management preferred
