Position Overview
Kiewit Technology Group (KTG) has opportunities available for an experienced Project Manager. At KTG, Project Managers are responsible for the activities associated with technical initiatives that are both strategic and tactical. Some of our projects are run with Agile principals, ceremonies, and are tracked in a project PPM software tool. Others use Waterfall processes along with ADO boards to track work. The Project Manager facilitates a variety of meetings, workshops, and ceremonies in support of all types of work for their teams. Additionally, they are responsible for the accurate and timely upkeep of data related to the team’s performance in our PPM tool. A Project Manager at KTG will be empowered to provide leadership, accountability and oversight of their project while raising risks and escalating issues as they arise to the project stakeholders.

Location
This position is located at 12720 I Street. The work schedule is onsite with the option to work remote on Friday's.
Responsibilities
• Apply generally accepted project management methodology combining Agile and Waterfall best practices and reinforcing the PMO standards
• Facilitate and leads project resources to define tasks, durations, effort, and dependencies to establish a solid plan and implementation schedule.
• Oversee completion of project tasks, manages conflicts within group and escalates risks/issues as needed.
• Deliver effective, accurate, and consistent communication to project teams, management, and stakeholders
• Establish clarity on the project scope and develops project plans based on the work tasks derived from the project requirements. Manage scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed upon time
• Build consensus among multiple leads relative to project scope, task execution, staffing and issue resolution
• Collaborate with other IT PMs on inter-dependent projects as well as program managers responsible for delivering the overall enterprise strategy to the organization
• Coordinate the work of technical professionals and other staff across other functions and disciplines.
• Drive the project team to deliver based on the established schedule and ensure quality standards for the project are met
• Work with technology leaders to identify project resources and develop schedules.
• Oversee multiple concurrent complex projects while ensuring the team is fully functional and productive
• Protect the team by identifying and removing or escalating any distractions, impediments, or roadblocks
• Stay focused on delivery and quality by encouraging teamwork, transparency, and collaboration.
• Manage budget estimates, actual cost and remaining work forecast/cost evaluations, applicable to the project(s), with the ability to speak to the details and escalate any risks with the project sponsor and stakeholders
Qualifications
• 3-5 years of Project Management and/or Technical Delivery experience or Technical Program Management
• Experience with various project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, SCRUM, Kanban, etc.)
• Must be able to communicate well with teams. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to present information both to technical and non-technical customers/stakeholders, in appropriate media and form.
• Able to effectively manage procurement of software, software development and hardware as required by the project.
• Understand fundamentals of the software development lifecycle
• Understand incremental delivery and the value of metrics (burndown metrics, velocity, etc)
• Understand backlog tracking and task definition
• Familiarity with techniques such as user story mapping, personas and persona mapping, visual management, and information radiators
• Ability to navigate complex release management environments and effective at planning and coordinating software releases at various intervals (monthly, adhoc, etc)
• Familiarity with work management tools/products, such as Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, OnePlan, PPM tools, etc.
