Position Overview

The Program Manager, as a subject matter authority, will independently oversee and handle the operational aspects of ongoing projects, serving as liaison among project management and planning, project team and line management. We seek a professional with the interpersonal skills to provide strategic vision, reviewing the project proposal to resolve time frame, funding limitations and procedures for accomplishing the project.

This position will be based out of our Kiewit Business Center at 12720 I Street. This is a shared service center in a professional office setting. 


  • Independently identify and resolve obstacles to completing project on-time and on-budget
  • Adhere to internal and external quality standards
  • Actively manage and report on the status of the program and projects including cost, timing and staffing.
  • Independently organize project teams, assign individual responsibilities, develop project schedules, and resolve resource requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems.  You will provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.  


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 15 years of related work experience
  • Experience implementing multiple large systems
  • Experience managing team of resources including technical resources and project managers in a matrix environment


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to apply project and portfolio management methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Experience applying Agile & Waterfall frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change management efforts
  • Able to deliver results in ambiguous situations with quality and value
  • Vendors relationship, vendor management, and contract management experience
  • On-Shore/Off-shore delivery model experience with major firms like InfoSys, TCS, Wipro, etc
  • Experience managing a budget of $10M+
  • Experience leading multiple implementations of large SAP ERP systems
