Position Overview
The Innovation Product Owner plays a critical role for Kiewit’s technology innovation program. This role will work closely with our Innovation Leads and Business Analysts on innovation initiatives related to Kiewit’s business. The incumbent will report to Innovation Management and play a key role in executing innovation projects, running experiments, and bringing new products to market within the Kiewit organization.

Location
This position will be located in either our Lone Tree, CO, Omaha, NE or Lenexa, KS office. The work schedule is onsite Monday - Thursday with the option to work remote on Friday's.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and continuously improving our Enterprise System for Innovation
- Operate within defined process for Innovation and hold others in the program accountable to doing the same
- Own Innovation Projects; accountable to handling communication, alignment, priority, and execution of work
- Develop, run, and document innovation projects and experiments
- Mentor Intrapreneurs by helping establish best practices, providing internal and external examples, and getting hands-on with them in developing their solutions
- Partner with Innovation Leads as well as Business Leaders and participate in their steering committee meetings as needed
- Participate in innovation projects as determined by Innovation Leads in conjunction with Innovation Management
- Develop relationships with Kiewit Districts to ensure our Innovation Process is responsive to business needs, evangelized, and valued by our business
Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Product Ownership
- Ability to lead, influence, and motivate team members to achieve results
- Proven ability to bring new products or services into new and established markets
- Ability to Document and communicate complex concepts effectively to a diverse group of stakeholders
- Experience mentoring team members, bringing them up to speed with team processes, norms, and culture
- Able to work in a SCRUM, Agile, or Kanban methodology
- Experience working with both hardware and software in the technology field a plus
- Ability to measure the past and current success of a product or service and develop a continuously evolving plan to maintain success
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to plan out, create, work with, and analyze unstructured data
- History of working on new teams and ability to define their inputs and outputs to meet customer needs
- Ability to work with a wide range of personalities and team members
- Excellent Problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
- Ability to Travel up to 20% of the time

Base Compensation: $95,000 - $105,000
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
