Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Office Manager to join our Human Resources organization. Being a part of this dynamic HR team supports candidates who value a people-first mission, where you'll help drive the daily operations that will support all office and HR functions and organization. District Overview

HR Operations is an integral partner and service provider at Kiewit.  In recent years, we have gone from decentralized HR groups to a unified, shared service team, with various HR Centers of Excellence.  Our vision is to be a best-in-class international HR organization. 

Location

This position is based out of headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska.  

Responsibilities

  • HR Operations Hub – Support our knowledge management and meeting flow for various HR teams. Be the professional and polished face of the team for employees and guests.
  • Onboarding & Talent Support – Partner with HR teams to ensure Omaha employees are effectively onboarded and set up for a positive new hire experience.
  • Communications & Materials Creation - Draft and organize content for internal updates, presentations, HR communications, and events—ensuring clarity, alignment, and polish.
  • Travel Support – Support the HR team by entering, managing, and maintaining travel, calendar and expenses to keep our people moving and operations running smoothly.
  • Event & Meeting Coordination - Plan and execute HR-sponsored events, including trainings, team meetings, and other ad-hoc events—while managing logistics like catering, tech setup, and guest services.
  • Tech & Systems Liaison - Support HRs use of systems such as Concur, Microsoft Suite, SAP, and SuccessFactors. Assist with troubleshooting and minor IT requests to keep the team humming.

Qualifications

  • Experienced Administrator/Support/Project Manager: Minimum of (10) + years executive-level support experience, performing operational and organizational functions as outlined above.
  • Tech Fluent: Skilled in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel; bonus points for Concur, SAP, Adobe Acrobat or AI familiarity.
  • Detail-Oriented: You spot the gaps before anyone else does—and you close them fast.
  • Discreet & Personable: Capable of handling confidential information and engaging professionally with staff at all levels.
  • Adaptable & Collaborative: Comfortable working in a fast-moving team with evolving priorities and lots of touchpoints across the business.
  • Ability to Prioritize: Experience working in a fast-paced environment, supporting a large organization and able to demonstrate multi-tasking & strong organizational skills/abilities as well as a communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • High school diploma required, Bachelors degree preferred
