The Payroll Tax Analyst is responsible for maintaining tax general ledger accounts and coordinating quarter and annual activities. The Payroll Tax Analyst position is part of the Kiewit Business Services Payroll Reporting department within the payroll group.

District Overview
Kiewit Business Services (KBS) is a cross-functional shared service organization that provides the business units with customer-specific services focused on cost and business value. Our services include non-core, yet essential, functions of our businesses including accounts payable, accounts receivable, change control, human capital management, payroll, project initiation, compliance and continuous improvement.
Location
This position is in a professional office setting located on our LaVista, NE campus and requires regular, onsite attendance.
Responsibilities
Primary Roles and Responsibilities
- Research and clear refund, penalty and interest notices received from taxing jurisdictions
- Research and resolve payment and filing discrepancies
- Develop and maintain a positive and professional relationship with the ADP representative
- Prepare monthly journal entries
- Reconcile Payroll Tax General Ledger accounts
- Balance and analyze quarter and annual reports between ADP and SAP
- Coordinate amended returns with ADP
- Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external Kiewit departments; understand Kiewit’s core business and promote a sense of urgency toward business-critical issues
- Collaborate with co-workers, internal and external Kiewit departments to promote continuous improvement and process excellence
- Manage assigned cases in Service Now
- Reliable and consistent attendance

- Support and participate in collaboration activities to promote and implement continuous process improvement
- Perform other work-related tasks as needed or assigned
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Minimum three years of general Accounting or Payroll Tax or Payroll experience
- Working knowledge of computers and experience in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
- Highly motivated and self-directed; initiative and a sense of urgency to get things done
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; clearly conveys messages and ideas, gains understanding; generates interest and holds attention, listens and is open to the ideas of others
- Demonstrated pattern of success in meeting quality objectives

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent
- Prior SAP experience
- Prior ADP tax service experience #LI-AK1
