Position Overview

As an Edge Computing Enablement Administrator, you will have responsibilities related to Kiewit’s Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), application packaging deployment, Microsoft SQL Server, and SQL Reporting Services (SRS).  You will be a technical resource assisting Kiewit Technology Group teams in driving technology automation and standards for our business partners.  As well as work closely with other departments within Kiewit Technology to establish technical and procedural strategies regarding software, packaging, SCCM, and automation standards.

This position will be based out of our Kiewit Business Center at 12720 I Street. This is a shared service center in a professional office setting.  This position has a hybrid schedule that includes an option of working from home part of the time.


  • Design, implement and maintain Enterprise-Level software packages.
  • Identify opportunities for automated remediation of common issues
  • Manage IT related initiatives including long-duration projects across multiple groups.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple related projects, including troubleshooting, operations and maintenance of the enterprise software packages in a team environment.
  • Provide customer-focused technical support to other teams within Kiewit Technology Group and our business partners as needed.
  • Maintain documentation for IT processes, procedures, incident tickets, network configurations, hardware/software inventory and audit requests.
  • Create and maintain technical and procedural standards documentation.
  • Follow formal change control process when necessary.
  • Represent the Client Technology Services team as a lead resource on corporate project teams and advisory boards.
  • Make timely decisions with well-developed judgment, while considering alternatives, risks, and other critical decision factors.
  • Engage in appropriate escalation management activities.
  • Work with IT vendors/hosting partners as needed to gain issue resolution and ensure performance of 3rd party solutions.
  • Pro-actively seek opportunities for continuous improvement within the team and department and act upon findings to initiate improvements, presenting ideas in a persuasive way to gain support.
  • Maintain professional knowledge and skills through proactive self-study of relevant technologies and processes.
  • Train peers to increase the skillset of the team.


  • Highly motivated, self-starting, and self-directed.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting to automate repetitive tasks
  • Experience with Microsoft’s Active Directory.
  • Experience with all Windows operating systems.
  • Experience in unattended software installation methodology
  • Strong understanding of emerging technologies, standards and best practices.
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and as a part of multiple teams.
  • Ability to manage a variety of technically challenging tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to solve unique problems with creative solutions.
  • Must be able to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish work efficiently.
  • Demonstrated initiative with commitment and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while still maintaining high quality standards.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to present information both to technical and non-technical customers/stakeholders, in appropriate media and form.
  • Ability to work off-hours when required and be part of an on-call rotation.
  • Bachelor's degree required in computer related field.
