Position Overview:
The Data Modeler will work with ER/Studio Data Architect software product to produce conceptual, logical and physical data models for a large-scale enterprise environment. The Data Modeler will interact with data architects; database administrators; business analysts; product owners; report and application development teams; and data governance / data quality teams supporting a variety of modeling needs.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with data architects, data quality analysts and agile development teams to create and maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models
• Reverse-engineer data models from databases
• Document data lineage from source applications through data lake / data warehouse to reports
• Adhere to data modeling standards and change control processes
• Participate in model reviews; present models to product owners and other stakeholders

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• 5 years experience
• Experience using data modeling software to produce conceptual, logical and physical data models, including reverse-engineering models from databases
• Data Modeling experience with ER/Studio or comparable data modeling software (PowerDesigner, ERWin, SQL Developer)
• Experience in applying standards to a data model
• Experience coordinating with database administrators to develop physical data models and DDL
• Analytical skills and experience in eliciting and understanding business requirements
• Experience mapping business and/or user requirements to logical data requirements
• Experience in data analysis and logical data design
• Experience building data lineage from source to report, including EDW and ODS
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Collaborative approach to working in teams
• Ability to problem solve and resolve issues

Preferred:
• Experience using ER/Studio Data Architect data modeling software
• Experience with data modeling in a large-scale enterprise environment, including modeling for ERP, EDW, Data Lake, Big Data, and software applications
• Experience with SAP or other ERP system
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL Server
• Knowledge of Azure Data Lake
• Experience with Azure DevOps, JIRA or similar task management software
• Experience with Agile Software Development Life-cycle, preferably Scrum
