District Overview
HR Operations is an integral partner and service provider at Kiewit. In recent years, we have gone from decentralized HR groups to a unified, shared service team, with various HR Centers of Excellence. Our vision is to be a best-in-class international HR organization.
Location
This position is based out of our Kiewit Headquarters in downtown Omaha, NE. This is a shared service center in a professional office setting and requires daily in office attendance.
Responsibilities
- Build from direction: Develop training products (presentations, eLearning assets, job aids, visuals, etc.) based on storyboards, scripts, or guidance from instructional designers.
- Execute with precision: Follow established style guidelines to produce polished content that aligns with project objectives.
- Develop learning materials: Use Articulate 360, Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and other tools to create instructional content for live and online training sessions.
- Incorporate multimedia: Integrate graphics, visuals, and audio/video elements as needed to enhance learning materials.
- Refine content: Update and improve course materials for clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
- Work efficiently: Manage time and multiple assignments to ensure deliverables are completed on schedule and meet quality standards.
- Collaborate constructively: Communicate effectively with instructional designers, subject matter experts, and peers, while maintaining flexibility and a positive, solutions-oriented approach.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word (familiarity with the broader Microsoft Office Suite strongly preferred).
- Strong command of grammar, vocabulary, and formatting standards.
- Ability to follow direction, work within defined parameters, and produce consistent, accurate deliverables.
- Agility in problem solving, critical thinking, and collaboration.
- Flexibility and a positive attitude in adapting to shifting priorities.
- Regular, reliable attendance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in instructional design development, graphic design, or professional writing/communication.
- Experience creating technical graphics (e.g., construction details, scale drawings, process diagrams).
- Familiarity with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or equivalent. #LI-AK1
