Corporate Communication is searching for a smart and experienced creative to join our team in Omaha, Neb. You will work closely with other team members and partners to help us create design and video projects that are helping Kiewit deliver strong business results.

This position is based out of Kiewit's headquarters at 1550 Mike Fahey Street. This is a shared service center in a professional office setting.


Corporate Communication is searching for a smart and experienced creative to join our team in Omaha, Neb. You will work closely with other team members and partners to help us create design and video projects that are helping Kiewit deliver strong business results. 

A successful candidate must be a motivated and fast learner, capable communicator and proficient at managing multiple projects and responsibilities at once. Experience in graphic design, video editing and project management will be crucial. Kiewit demands a person with high attention to detail and excellent time management skills to consistently meet deadlines and drive projects forward. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Creating compelling graphic designs – everything from digital media and logos to large documents and displays – to support business goals and the company’s brand    
  • Effectively creating video content, including storyboarding, design, editing and animation
  • Assisting with managing corporate branding and graphic standards internally and externally
  • Brainstorming design and video concepts
  • Supporting a variety of important marketing communication projects including – but not limited to – developing and designing print, web and social marketing materials 
  • Assisting with general communication tasks including – but not limited to – creation and editing of PowerPoint templates and presentations; assistance with key company events; and helping to manage the company’s digital asset management system and historical archives.
  • Preparing design and video files for final production or distribution
  • Researching pricing for clients and collecting bids for projects 
  • Assisting with special communication projects as directed by leadership 


We are seeking a creative professional with a degree in visual arts, marketing, journalism or a related field of study. The following are basic qualifications for the role:

  • 2+ years previous experience with design and video production. A portfolio of recent work will be required. 
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro and After Effects; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) 
  • Strong writing and client-relations skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to think creatively and collaborate on internal and external teams
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortability with peripheral technology, especially DSLR cameras and video equipment
  • Desire to learn and adapt to new communication and design principles, tools and technologies
  • High level of motivation, willingness to learn
  • Open to travel
