Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development & Operations Strategy Manager to lead initiatives that drive growth, improve operational efficiency, and support strategic decision-making. This hybrid role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, business acumen, and operational expertise to identify new opportunities, streamline processes, and support cross-functional teams.

District Overview

Kiewit Building Group specializes in constructing office buildings, industrial complexes, education and sports facilities, hotels, hospitals, transportation terminals, science and technology facilities, manufacturing, retail and special-use facilities and extensive interior construction with tenant improvements. Its capabilities include general construction, construction management, design-build, design-assist and turn-key project development. Kiewit also provides fast, accurate preconstruction project management services. During the past 10 years, Kiewit has performed construction services for more than 1,100 vertical construction projects, totaling $7.5 billion in revenue.

Location

Position will be based out of Kiewit's HQ in Omaha, NE.

Occasional travel will be required.

Responsibilities

Business Development
 Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets
 Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new products or services
 Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and partners
 Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions
 Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align business development efforts
Operational Support
 Provide hands-on support to operations teams to ensure smooth execution of business processes
 Monitor KPIs and operational metrics to identify areas for improvement
 Assist in resolving operational bottlenecks and implementing solutions
 Support cross-functional teams in project management and execution
Operational Strategy
 Design and implement operational strategies that align with business goals
 Analyze workflows, systems, and processes to enhance efficiency and scalability
 Lead initiatives to optimize resource allocation and cost management
 Develop dashboards and reporting tools to track performance and drive data-driven decisions
 Partner with leadership to shape long-term operational plans and priorities

Qualifications

 Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field (MBA preferred)
 10+ years of experience in business development, operations, or strategy roles
 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
 Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities
 Proven ability to manage multiple projects and drive cross-functional collaboration
 Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Power BI, CRM platforms, and project management software
