Position Overview

The Technical Business Analyst is responsible for solving data integration needs by working closely with the Integration team’s Technical Platform Owner, understanding the requirements, investigating potential solutions and translating them into clear testable requirements, ensuring the successful launch of the integrations, and managing the integrations throughout their entire lifecycle. The ideal individual candidate will be able to facilitate discussions around data mappings, process flow diagrams, and guide the team to a successful, value-driven integration platform.

Location

This position will be based out of our Kiewit Business Center at 12720 I Street. This is a shared service center in a professional office setting. 

Responsibilities

  • Requirement elicitation and clarification to understand the integration need and make solution recommendations
  • Builds and maintains requirements, through user stories, tasks and acceptance criteria that can be utilized by Development and QA to build and test appropriately 
  • Provide accurate effort estimates for business analyst tasks and articulate high-level requirements to also obtain development and testing estimates
  • Create process flow diagrams and data integration mapping
  • Work collaboratively with other Business and IT Product and Support Teams to ensure communications, transparently integrated processes, and seamless support delivery
  • Ensure proper communication to all levels of the organization and across process/project teams
  • Participate in product-related project plans, resources, and deliverables to defined timelines and scope
  • Identify and address issues that could impact the fit and quality of solutions and escalate as needed

  • Understand the data being used and data security measures needed for the data

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications
  • Knowledge working in an Agile environment, writing user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Knowledge of Visio, SharePoint and Microsoft Suite or similar products
  • Knowledge of Power BI and SQL
  • Possess an understanding of information management project and quality control best practices
  • Understanding of REST/SOAP and other web service communication
  • Understanding of industry standard authentication methods
  • Familiarity with swagger/OpenAPI documentation and/or developer portals
  • Familiarity with web service tooling such as postman or insomnia
  • Education level: BS or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in an Information Technology or related role
