Position Overview

The Technical Systems Analyst is responsible for the daily production support and maintenance of Kiewit’s expansive portfolio of reports.  The successful candidate will resolve incidents, complete service requests within the established service level expectations and provide best practice recommendations. This position will report to a Support Supervisor within the Kiewit Technology Group organization.

Location

This position is located at 12720 I Street.  The work schedule is onsite with the option to work remote on Friday's.

Responsibilities

•    Provide front-line primary technical support to end users
•    Actively engage in JAMS job monitoring \ alerting
•    Make timely decisions with well-developed judgment, considering alternatives, risks, and other critical decision factors
•    Check, validate, update ticket documentation
•    Quickly \ accurately prioritize incidents following internal incident management protocol
•    Troubleshoot \ resolve tickets within defined service level expectations
•    Work to transition new reports and solutions into the Support Team
•    Work collaboratively with a variety of Kiewit Technology Group teams 
•    Pro-actively seek opportunities for continuous improvement 
•    Maintain professional knowledge and skills through proactive self-study 
•    Provide training and coaching to other team members
•    Create and update support documentation
•    Work on SSRS \ Power BI \ SQL Server
•    Work On-Call

Qualifications

•    Highly motivated, self-starting, self-directed
•    Good understanding of SQL. 2-3 years SQL experience preferred.
•    Basic knowledge of MDX \ DAX
•    Ability to interpret and write complex SQL queries \ custom reports
•    Experience working with DBA’s to performance tune queries
•    Strong understanding of incident \ problem management
•    Strong interpersonal skills
•    Ability to manage a variety of technically challenging tasks effectively
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Must be able to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish work efficiently
•    Should have commitment and ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, maintaining high quality standards
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Bonus points for:
•    Experience using BI tools, primarily SSRS\ SSIS\ SSAS\ Power Bi
•    Bachelor’s degree or applicable experience in a technology related field
•    Experience in JAMS or similar scheduling tools
•    Teradata experience
•    Azure
•    Snowflake
•    IICS
