Position Overview
At Kiewit, we operate and maintain a fleet of 9 aircraft which includes 8 Learjet 70/75's and 1 Challenger 300 to support travel for Executives, key members of staff and customers. We are hiring an Aircraft Maintenance Technician/Mechanic to join our team at our private hangar, operating out of Omaha's Eppley International airport. This is a full time opportunity, with a rotating weekly schedule, with full benefits, 401K match, and opportunities to grow your skills and knowledge in Aircraft maintenance. In this role, you will be accountable to keep all aircraft in safe working condition. Under the direction of the Chief of Maintenance, you will be expected to troubleshoot and replace aircraft components, make repairs and sign off on those repairs.

District Overview
Midwest Aviation is Kiewit’s own private flight division. We operate out of a private hangar on Omaha Nebraska's Eppley International Airport, and maintain bases on Conroe Texas and New Windsor New York.
Location
This position is based out of Omaha, Nebraska. We do not offer relocation assistance for this role.
Responsibilities
- Reports to the Chief of Maintenance. In his absence, he or she will report to the Director of Maintenance.
- Perform work in compliance with MWA procedures, FAA regulations and the highest standards of workmanship.
- Perform Parts procurement to include verification of part authenticity, proper documentation, shipping and receiving as needed.
- May be required to travel on international flights to provide maintenance support or provide rapid response and deployment when needed for AOG maintenance support.
- Keep up with latest techniques through reading publications and exchange of experiences with others.
- Perform assigned and unassigned work to high standards with emphasis on preventative maintenance
- Conducts or supervises scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events including post and pre-flight inspections.
- Conducts facilities maintenance and inspections as required.
- Audits current aircraft status in Company Computerized Maintenance Program.
- Assures proper documentation and recording of all maintenance activities performed on company aircraft.
- Assure that all company required in house training programs are accomplished
- Maintains compliance with all Company Safety and Environmental programs.
- May be assigned to Project Environmental Coordinator (PEC) to assist the District Environmental Coordinator (DEVM) with environmental regulatory compliance for assigned base of operations. May be assigned to Assistant Quality Assurance Inspector to assist the Quality Assurance Inspector with the department’s quality assurance program.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience performing aircraft maintenance. Learjet 45 series aircraft preferred.
- Must hold an FAA A&P Certificate
- Possesses a background of verifiable practical experience as an active aircraft maintenance technician.
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the FAA Regulations and standards relating to aircraft maintenance.
- Ability to work a rotating schedule that varies from week to week (You will get your schedule one month in advance).
