Position Overview
The Strategy Analyst will be responsible for communicating with senior leaders and district project stakeholders. This position will be leading the District Software Program and assist with the District Rotation Program, District Training Program, District Manager Training, and KIEs Best-In-Class Onboarding Program. We need a friendly and positive attitude, excellent customer service skills, effective communicator, and a team player. As part of the district strategy team, you will be involved in process improvement efforts to identify, analyze, and improve existing business processes to optimize performance, meet best practice standards, and improve quality. You will be involved in writing standard operating procedures (SOPs), creating process flow maps, identifying areas for improvement within the district, maintaining current processes, and streamlining reporting.
This role offers a clear path for professional development, eventually evolving into a deputy position to the Strategy Manager.
District Overview
Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering's Design-Build team is driving clients to turn to Kiewit during all stages of design-build projects. Through our integrated design and construction approach, our multi-disciplinary team works together to improve schedule, control costs, and minimize risk. Our construction-focused engineers work collaboratively with our estimators and builders to design solutions that are innovative, constructible, and designed with a focus on safety. Clients benefit from the proven processes and tools used by Kiewit to minimize project risk. We are an in-house resource that supports projects throughout the company. Location
This role will be based out of our Oakville, CAN office.
Responsibilities
- Develop, evaluate, and refine strategies to enhance districts objectives
- Develop and update company SOPs
- Develop training materials, ensuring consistency in knowledge and process understanding
- Lead the development of AI and Software products aligned with business objectives
- Lead and manage strategic initiatives, ensuring project meets goals and deadlines
- Define project scopes, establish timelines, and coordinate resources as needed
- Facilitate regular communications, reporting, and alignment between internal stakeholders and external partners
- Monitor KPIs and metrics to optimize project outcomes and adjust strategies as needed
- Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance in areas of project management, data strategies, and strategic thinking
- Foster a collaborative team culture and promote best practices in stakeholder management and communication
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Manage project management tools to monitor and report on ongoing initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Data Science, Business or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working on transportation related projects in a business or technical analyst role with experience reviewing and analyzing technical deliverables such as design documents, implementation plans and test plans.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or equivalent is preferred
- Understanding of technical documentation including Software Design and Testing documents and architecture diagrams.
- Advanced with Microsoft products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PowerBI, MS Visio)
- Proficient in gap analysis and process mapping
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills along with excellent people skills
- Must work well in active and fast-paced group settings
- Strong willingness to learn and excellent problem-solving skills
- Team player/collaborative
- Organized, detail-oriented with effective time-management skills to effectively complete ongoing projects in balance with daily responsibilities
- Ability to work with little supervision, meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, provide recommendations, and effectively communicate updates
- Solid research, analytical, critical thinking, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of strategic planning, including terminology.
- Ability to travel as business necessitates within the US or Canada
