Our DOE/Nuclear team is hiring an Office / Project Coordinator.  This position will be of critical importance to our Oak Ridge Operations Team and will contribute to our long-term market success. You will play a critical role in our Get Work and Build Work Strategies.  This means a split between the office and field. You will play a critical role in developing administrative operations in varying capacities, prepare reports utilizing Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and take on special projects as needed.  This candidate must be a proactive thinker and comfortable communicating with the project team. Must be able to work quickly and multi-task.  

District Overview

Kiewit Power Constructors (KPC) provides direct-hire construction services for Power Generation utilizing a union craft force.  Kiewit Power Constructors builds major EPC power plant projects throughout North America. 


This position is located in Oak Ridge, TN. The candidate must be open to travel to support out-of-area projects as required.


•    Manage document control functions for office and local projects. 
•    Process and distribute communications and information flow such as submittals, requests for information (RFIs), engineering design documents, etc.
•    Manage documentation during design, construction, commissioning, and closeout phases of projects.
•    Support Program-specific tasks and implement document control concepts as defined in the procedures and guidance documents.
•    Assist project team with the timely retrieval of documents and assembly requirements of internal and external audits.
•    Direct interface with Program and Project Managers, Superintendents, Subcontractors, other Project Coordinators, and corporate office support (Accounting, Contracts, IT, etc.,).
•    Support the PM with including but not limited to; project setup, subcontractor bid packages, purchase orders, invoicing, certified payrolls, scheduling, document preparation and submittal, project files and documentation, attend meetings, take and distribute meeting notes, assist with project commissioning/closeout and provide other project support as requested.
•    Serve as first point of contact by greeting guests and answering telephones.
•    Manage all building requests and general office policies.
•    Oversee all of the ordering for office supplies and snacks; maintain accurate records of amount spent for budgeting purposes.
•    Maintain receipts for internal events, supplies purchased, team lunches and all mailings and complete expense reports.
•    Coordinate with HR regarding new hire starts in the system.


•    Experience with Federal Government Work, preferred Department of Energy Experience or Nuclear Industry.
•    5+ years of direct office management experience or heavy administrative assistance experience 

•    Self-starting attitude and demonstrated ability to get things done/leadership skills.
•    Strong communication and organization skills.
•    Eligibility for this position requires US citizenship; the successful candidate must provide proof of US citizenship in order to obtain badge access to the site
•    Candidate must complete security questionnaire and successfully clear site access requirements 
•    All employees are subject and agree to random drug and alcohol testing as a condition of employment
•    Must be able to obtain a security clearance, as applicable
