As a Administrative Support Professional, you will work closely withe the Billing Specialist to provide assistance with client billing and documentation, data entry, payroll, reporting, and other administrative tasks. Its a great opportunity to flex your admin skills and work with a great team.

District Overview

Kiewit’s Central District is one of our largest infrastructure districts specializing in heavy civil, structural concrete/bridge, water/wastewater, and transportation projects. We self-perform work such as mass grading, drainage, paving, utility and more - so be ready to get your hands dirty! While headquartered in Denver, Colorado, the majority of our work is concentrated in the Central and South-Central regions of the United States. We are looking for people committed to the construction industry rather than design. 


This position will be based out of Memphis, TN

  • Understands and complies with all contract terms
  • Provides assistance during audits
  • Gathers and maintains all necessary backup and documentation for client billing
  • Accurately conforms all billing documentation into client invoice
  • Audit bill creation with RRB system bill and verify any discrepancies
  • Data entry and tracking
  • Assist on special projects
  • Maintain physical and electronic files or other organizational system pertaining to Business, Payroll, and Hiring
  • Assist HR with the processing of new hire employees and the proper documentation of terminations
  • Payroll reconciliation, verifies that the project is properly reconciled
  • Produces certified payroll with proper approval
  • Payroll setup, effectively sets up craft payment schedules, tax schedules, etc.
  • Understands the forms and service level agreements
  • Time entry, familiar with how time enters the system through play of the Day and mobile work orders.
  • Input time directly in Time Work Bench, understands the process for premium review and adjustment
  • Produces hours worked report, imports it into the crew report and payroll edit listing
  • Time review and adjustment, review plan status report for missing PODs
  • Adjusts incorrectly coded time and requests needed off cycle paychecks
  • Goods receipt, completes desktop MIGO receiving and uses the goods receipt app.
  • Utilizing Goods receipt vs. Invoice receipt (GR/IR) in the reconciliation process
  • Shopping Carts, creates a shopping cart and appropriate material master/general ledger codes effectively.
  • Reviews billing documentation
  • Participates in monthly mass safety meetings, quality tours, projections, stretch & flex, tool box talks
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 1-2 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Accounts payable experience required; SAP experience preferred.
  • Effective communication (both oral and written), organization and interpersonal skills.
  • Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies
  • Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and passionate for continuous improvement
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team. 
  • Open-minded, creative, and collaborative focus with the ability to think outside the box for solutions.
  • Requires proven analytical skills with ability to organize, maintain, process and analyze large amounts of information.
  • Self-motivator with strong work ethic.
Working Conditions

Fast-paced office environment; must be able to interact professionally with all levels of management while simultaneously manage a diversified workload and challenging situations efficiently and effectively; regularly sit, stand, walk and talk and listen; occasionally lift and move objects up to 30 pounds.
