Position Overview

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering (KIE) has openings for seasoned and dynamic environmental managers. The ideal candidates will have experience working on complex transportation-related environmental planning projects in the US and/or Canada, and experience with state DOTs, FHWA, FRA, FTA, and USACE in the US, or Canadian agencies such as DFO, and provincial transportation ministries and transit agencies.  Additionally, we are looking for someone with proven experience in Design-Build, Progressive Design Build and Alliance contract models.  The person in this position will work with diverse, multi-disciplinary teams comprised of internal peers, clients, and subconsultants.

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering's Design-Build team is driving clients to turn to Kiewit during all stages of complex projects. Location

This position will begin based out of our Lone Tree, CO office.

Responsibilities

•    Leading the environmental aspects (e.g. schedule and estimates) for our most complicated proposals and projects in delivery.
•    Supporting and facilitating delivery of environmental SOPs for other proposals and projects 
•    Developing and supporting environmental staff across our district
•    Collaboratively developing and implementing strategy for delivering environmental components of our jobs.   
•    Informing master scheduling with environmental and permitting requirements.
•    Preparation of scope, schedule, and budget for new projects and responding to RFPs with similar information
•    Developing documents that meet the requirements for environmental approvals or re-evaluations, permit applications and permit modifications, environmental management plans, and all other required environmental submittals.
•    Collaborating with transportation planning, engineering, urban design/landscape design, and other disciplines.
•    Performing quality reviews of deliverables to client requirements to ensure high-quality products are produced on time and budget.
•    Preparing for and conducting public and agency involvement activities.
•    Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with various levels of agency personnel.
•    Providing guidance and support to less experienced staff on technical and professional issues.

Qualifications

•    20 or more years in progressively more complex environmental planning roles. 
•    Appropriate degrees in Landscape Architecture, Planning, Environmental Planning, Urban Design, Architecture, or Engineering 
•    Mastery of Microsoft 365 products to perform assigned tasks.
•    ESRI ArcGIS skills preferred but not required.
•    Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative.

•    Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity.
•    Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt.

Base Compensation: $140,000 - $175,000

(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
