Position Overview

As a Communication Coordinator, you are responsible for leading and managing teams to successfully submit award nominations while implementing best practices.  You will collaborate effectively with the marketing and proposal teams to develop and implement an industry awards management plan, and lead the team in developing complete, compliant, and compelling award applications on time. To succeed in this role, you must be a strategic and experienced content creator who has a passion for story-telling.

District Overview

The Kiewit Infrastructure Business Development group provides exceptional - best in class - marketing services to all Kiewit Infrastructure and Engineering Districts. We represent a shared services initiative for Kiewit Engineering Group and Kiewit Infrastructure Group, division of Kiewit Corporation.  

Location

This position is based in our Lone Tree, CO office.

Responsibilities

•    Collaborate with proposal staff in cross regional efforts and manage the overall award process for the Infrastructure group.
•    Setup Teams sites, application outlines, schedule & section assignment templates, and other award-related documents.
•    Schedule kick-off meetings, review meetings, and stay in constant communication with projects and teams working on award applications. 
•    Coordinate and develop content based on the awards management plan, developed in collaboration with proposal teams, project teams, and subject matter experts. 
•    Organize ideas, draft, edit and structure award applications, while making timely changes and revisions to documents after reviews and prior to submitting final nominations.
•    Conduct interviews with engineers, designers, project managers, and others subject matter experts to generate original content highlighting the company and/or project being nominated for an industry award.
•    Track award cycles and assess award criteria. Analyze and interpret qualification requirements to ensure eligibility and compliance on all award submissions. 
•    Carry out the final review of all required elements to ensure award applications are strong and compelling submissions that give the company a competitive advantage to win.
•    Ensure all deadlines are met and new content created gets documented and saved across multiple platforms.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:
•    Minimum of one year of experience writing/coordinating proposals, awards, and/or other marketing documents, ideally in the A/E/C industry.
•    A bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications, journalism, English, construction management or equivalent is required.
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills.
•    Ability to write concise, compelling, and consistent copy through interviews with subject matter experts.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
•    Experience in Adobe creative cloud is a plus
•    Strong, motivated individual with the ability to work effectively with professionals from diverse environments.

Base Compensation: $56,000/yr - $66,000/yr 
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
