Position Overview

As a Business Specialist, you will report to the Director of Major Programs. This role provides comprehensive business support by assisting executive leadership with training and onboarding, coordinating logistics for key programs, and driving strategic growth initiatives. It involves analyzing internal processes and external market trends, identifying new business opportunities, and collaborating across departments to improve efficiency and align strategies. The position also includes preparing reports and dashboards to guide decision-making and handling various tasks as assigned by leadership 


District Overview

Kiewit Building Group specializes in constructing office buildings, industrial complexes, education and sports facilities, hotels, hospitals, transportation terminals, science and technology facilities, manufacturing, retail and special-use facilities and extensive interior construction with tenant improvements. Its capabilities include general construction, construction management, design-build, design-assist and turn-key project development. Kiewit also provides fast, accurate preconstruction project management services. During the past 10 years, Kiewit has performed construction services for more than 1,100 vertical construction projects, totaling $7.5 billion in revenue.

Location

This position is based out of Kiewit's Regional Hub in Lone Tree, CO. This is a shared service environment in a professional office setting.

Responsibilities

  • Support Executive Leadership with execution of training programs and new hire onboarding.  
  • Provide logistical support to major programs and other designated project teams.
  • Analyze business processes, performance metrics, and market trends.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform strategy.
  • Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities and potential clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, marketing, product) to align growth strategies.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with departments to identify operational inefficiencies.
  • Any other business support task provided by leadership teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (Business, Engineering, or realted business field)
• Ability to prioritize and complete a high volume of work, managing multiple projects and coordinating multiple requests to successful completion.
• Proven ability to take initiative and build strong and productive personal relationships
• Excellent creative and strategic abilities.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.
• Basic understanding of data management and analytical software, such as CRM, SharePoint, Tableau, etc.

•    Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
•    Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
•    May work at various different locations and conditions may vary.

 

Base Compensation: $75,000/yr - $80,000/yr 
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
