Position Overview

The purpose of this position is to provide web development/application QA testing support for Kiewit Power in Lenexa, KS. This person will work closely with the development engineers, Business Analysts and Product owners to analyze business needs, design, and QA test the related solutions.

Location

This position will be based out of our Lenexa, KS office. This is a shared service center in a professional office setting. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead, review and analyze system specifications
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to refine test strategies and test plans.
  • Ensure that new and existing product functionality is reliable, defect-free, and functions as intended for the business.
  • Participate in regular updates and planning meetings.
  • Execute Manual test cases and analyze results.
  • Create and Execute automated scripts
  • Create logs to document the testing and defects.
  • Report details on bugs/errors to development teams and help troubleshoot issues.
  • Provide leadership and clear explanation to team members on processes and plans to help move the team forward.

Qualifications

  • BS or equivalent experience –Information Technology, Engineering Technology, Computer Science or Technical Related Degree or experience.
  • Three years of experience in Quality Assurance/Testing.
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance methodologies.
  • Great communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong manual testing skills and experience.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to translate organizational goals into daily goals.
  • Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work on separate projects in a fast pace & dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated an ability to work independently with limited direction.
  • Communicates bugs/errors effectively and respectfully.
