Position Overview

Kiewit Power Delivery Group is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Substation/T-Line Estimator to join our team. This role involves preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for substation and transmission line projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and construction, with a focus on high voltage projects.

Responsibilities

•    Prepare detailed cost estimates for substation and transmission line projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
•    Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to develop comprehensive estimates.
•    Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and competitive bids.
•    Review and validate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
•    Identify potential risks and opportunities in the estimating process.
•    Maintain and update historical cost data and estimating tools.
•    Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather information for accurate estimates.
•    Provide technical support and guidance to junior estimators and other team members.

Qualifications

•    Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
•    Minimum of 8 years of experience in estimating for substation and transmission line projects.
•    Strong knowledge of high voltage electrical systems and construction practices.
•    Proficiency in estimating software and tools, such as Primavera, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Excel.
•    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•    Experience with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects is a plus

Base Compensation: $142,000/yr - $149,000/yr

(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
