Position Overview
The District Training Specialist will be responsible for support all District Wide development and training in a variety of modalities and spaces. Using the District Training Plan, they will drive creation of all content and development.
District Overview
Kiewit Power Constructors (KPC) provides direct-hire construction services for Power Generation utilizing a union craft force. Kiewit Power Constructors builds major EPC power plant and solar farm projects throughout North America.

This position is based out of Lenexa, KS.
Responsibilities
• Work closely with the HRBPs and District Engineer to execute the Training Plan outlined on the Districts Business Plan
• Use data-driven analysis to identify training gaps and areas of improvement
• Act as a consultant during business planning to incorporate solutions to identified training gaps
• Partner with corporate Talent Development to execute established staff and craft training programs in the districts
• Leverage District Engineer relationship to develop a Power Field Engineer training program and document in the District Development Plan
• Responsible for coordination and continuous improvement of the Power Superintendent training program and document in the District Development Plan
• Own the KEG Key Craft Program, ensuring consistent participation and execution on open-shop projects
• Own the KPC KieCraft program, ensuring a pipeline of Staff talent is funneled from the Craft population
• Hold projects accountable to rotations program, training plans and People Wall management
• Travel up to 50% of the time to facilitate on-site training
Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience working in a leadership role, training and developing individuals
• Strong team player and attitude to help others
• Passion for teaching and mentoring others, especially individuals without college educations
• Ability to confidently speak and teach in the classroom environment
• Physical ability to perform craft work common to ironworking and rigging
• Excellent organizational, administrative, communication and interpersonal skills
