Position Overview

A Data Center Equipment Tracking Platform Administrator, also known as a Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) Administrator, is a crucial role responsible for the effective management and tracking of physical and logical assets within a data center environment. This position focuses on maintaining the platform used for tracking, optimizing its performance, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the data within it.

Our rapidly growing Industrial Design Group, which includes process, electrical, controls, structural, architectural, geotechnical, and civil disciplines, is a multi-faceted and leading-edge division of Kiewit with best-in-class technical expertise focused on EPC and design-build delivery of industrial projects in markets such as Food & Beverage, Consumer Products, Heavy Manufacturing, Industrial Buildings Industrial Water and Utilities. We have specialized expertise in plant floor process design, packaging, refrigerated/frozen facility design, and ammonia refrigeration systems.

In addition to the markets above the fire protection group provides direct support for Kiewit's Infrastructure and Power generation engineering and construction teams. In this capacity, engineers can expect to be exposed to various different project types and challenges. 

Location

This position is based out of our Lenexa, Kansas office. 

Responsibilities

•    Administering, maintaining, and integrating the DCIM platform with other systems.
•    Monitoring and optimizing platform performance and data center operations.
•    Integrating data and generating reports for insights.
•    Providing technical support and troubleshooting platform and infrastructure issues.
•    Documenting systems and training users.
•    Ensuring compliance with security policies and industry standards.
•    Collaborating with teams and staying updated on industry trends to improve capabilities.

Qualifications

•    Experience with DCIM systems, IT infrastructure, and data center operations is necessary, often requiring 3+ years in Asset Management and experience in large corporate environments. Experience with IT Ticketing and Asset Management applications is preferred.
•    Technical skills should include understanding networking, server hardware, operating systems, and IT infrastructure management, with familiarity with tools like VMware and Cisco equipment being beneficial. Knowledge of the IT asset lifecycle is also important.
•    Soft skills include strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, along with the ability to work independently under pressure.
•    Education typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and industry certifications are valued.
