Kiewit Industrial & Water Engineering is seeking a Building Electrical Engineer for our Industrial Building Group. District Overview
Kiewit’s Industrial and Water Engineering Group has the ability and the responsibility to greatly influence the successful outcome of our projects. Our team is multi-faceted, with best-in-class technical expertise focused on EPC and design-build delivery of industrial projects in markets such as Food & Beverage, Mineral Processing, Renewable Fuels, Pulp and Paper, Steel & Aluminum, Industrial Buildings, and Industrial Energy, Water and Utilities.

This position is based in our Lenexa, Kansas office.
Responsibilities
As an Electrical Engineer in the Industrial Building Group, you will have a wide range of responsibilities that include:
- Performing Load List and equipment sizing calculations under the supervision of a senior engineer.
- Developing small to mid-size projects or proposals.
- Coordinating with designers and drafters for producing electrical design drawings.
- Leading quality checks of the design and engineering of a project to ensure accuracy.
- Identifying changes in the scope of work during a project and producing design changes as needed to stay within budget and schedule.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering minimum required.
- Minimum 4-10 years of relevant experience in the refining and petrochemical industry.
- Ability to adjust to varying demands of work and perform well under pressure.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or commitment to achieving within 6-12 months.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
