Position Overview

As a Digital Recruiting Marketing Specialist you will play a key role in helping us attract and recruit the best talent to join the Kiewit organization. We are seeking a new team member for our in-house recruiting department to help us further develop, support and execute our digital and social marketing and communication strategies across online channels. This position will report to our Talent Attraction Manager and work closely with recruiting and corporate communications to expand and improve our qualified talent pools for recruitment. 

District Overview

HR Operations is an integral partner and service provider at Kiewit. In recent years, we have gone from decentralized HR groups to a unified, shared service team, with various HR Centers of Excellence. Our vision is to be a best-in-class international HR organization. 


This position will be based out of one of our corporate office locations, working alongside recruiting team members in either Omaha, Lenexa or Houston. 


•    Help advance our companywide talent attraction strategy, with a focus on driving qualified applicant traffic and awareness to open jobs, and enhancing the perception of Kiewit's talent brand
•    Build strong partnerships within the talent acquisition team and cross-functional teams through ongoing education on business trends, client needs and unique hiring challenges

Recruiting Marketing
•    Plan, execute, and measure the success of digital recruitment marketing activities such as email campaigns, SEO/SEM, organic/paid social media advertising, PPC campaigns, sponsored jobs and more 
•    Set up, launch and manage effective email and social media recruitment marketing campaigns to generate qualified candidate leads 
•    Manage day-to-day effectiveness of careers site to ensure talent attraction is maintained while leveraging web trends and analytics to drive effective candidate experience
•    Maximize digital recruiting marketing best practices on platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Indeed, Glassdoor and Google
•    Utilize techniques such as retargeting, geotargeting and geofencing to generate qualified applicants

EVP/Employer Brand
•    Ensure that Kiewit’s employee value proposition (EVP) and employer brand are integrated into our staff and intern recruiting marketing activities
•    Proactively seek opportunities to increase visibility of our employer brand and job openings

•    Use data to build campaigns that resonate with key audiences, elevate visibility for key skill pools, and tracks activity through the applicant process
•    Report on recruitment marketing performance including conversion rates, source of application, careers site traffic, and location-based data
•    Monitor allocated budget utilized for job search engines, job boards, and social sites and makes recommendations for allocating to most productive channels

Best Practices
•    Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance accordingly
•    Champion industry best practices in digital recruitment and develop and implement creative solutions that meet business/recruiting objectives
•    Research changing digital recruitment marketing best practices and make recommendations to recruiting leadership
•    Perform ongoing analysis of our competitors to continuously improve Kiewit's digital recruiting marketing efforts
•    Present to recruiting leadership and other stakeholders on talent attraction results, findings and recommendations


•    2+ years’ experience in digital marketing including digital advertising, social media and email campaigns 
•    Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, human resources, business or related preferred
•    Recruiting and talent attraction background a plus
•    EVP and employer brand experience preferred
•    Strong understanding of social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube) and the native features/functionality of each
•    Experience with digital and social media advertising (e.g., Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads)
•    Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Forms) experience preferred
•    On top of the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing and ROI measurement
•    Analytical skills, including the ability to recognize opportunities for improvement and propose innovative solutions
•    Ability to translate complex data into understandable conclusions and recommendations for senior leadership
•    Yello, SAP SuccessFactors experience a plus
•    Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for high-quality work and being proactive
•    Strong work ethic
•    Sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced recruitment environment 
•    Ability to work well with a diverse group of employees and individuals
•    Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
•    Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
